that is the basic gist of my mid-winter break, so far. most of what has transpired, as of yet. the monotony of being out of school hasn't kicked in yet (yet yet yet!), and so i'm pretty happy with it. school was beginning to really piss me off. how can i already be so far behind, with only two weeks into a new semester? i must be a complete idiot, but damn it feels good to be a 'gansta. afterschool on friday, tyree and i went to rj's, and so that's where i saw the first two of the listed films, and it's also where i got the remaining two to borrow and watch on saturday. speaking of saturday, i went out for a run, and decided to stop by the skyway library to read some magazines, because i very much enjoy looking at pictures of plastic celebrities and rockstars. i was ambushed by mustafa, THE BLACKEST DARK SPOT ON THE SEATTLE LANDSCAPE. yeah, that kid is black, and he owes me eight bucks. YOU BETTER PAY UP, 'SUCKA! today i had a "guitar lesson" with brian. i think our teacher is trying to milk us for all the money we've got, but i guess he's good at what he does, so i won't really bother to stop him. i feel good about the remainder of this break-week. friends want to do stuff, which is always good, and even if they didn't, i'd be content sleeping and reading and playing final fantasy tactics. i don't know if i'll get the core part of my dream team by the end of this week, which includes cloud, a samurai, and a ninja, but i'll try nonetheless. i think anthony is having people over, unless i'm mistaken. maybe he's having ME over, for god-knows-what. let's hope it's not butt-love. i think rj and i are going to go take a bus out to bellevue on tuesday, to take some pictures. i don't know if we're absolutely sure that bellevue will be our destination, but it's an idea. if anybody wants to come along for the ride, or offer us a ride, contact me or rj. rj said seattle seems "overexposed." i think that statement is just about right. right now there's this documentary on tv about this chinese photographer, and critics of his work say "his photography is self-indulgent." haha, that's great. i'm going to see my grandparents tomorrow, and i don't know how that'll go. it should be fine. my favorite television shows right now are everwood and kingpin. i have to remind myself to catch this week's episodes. kingpin is coming out on dvd. i'm going to cop it, if i can get a hold of $50. my mom got mad at me today because i was cursing like a sailor at my brother, and we were squabbling over territorial issues of the living room. also, i think i'm laying off all mind-altering substances for the remainder of this period of my life. it feels so good; so fresh and so clean clean. written on sunday, february 16
