natalie portman was at her best in her earlier films like the professional and beautiful girls. she got all fucked up after she went to harvard and stared in all of that star wars prequel bullshit. i watched beautiful girls last night, and i must say, she was way more enchanting as a normal pre-teen than as that nipping whore in episode 2 who ends up fucking hayden christensen/anakin skywalker/darth vader, that fag.

besides portman's performance as a cerebral and perceptive young girl, michael rapaport's character in the film is a reason alone to watch it. usually, rapaport's comedic presence defines his character, but i could definitely feel him on his seemingly superficial yet serious shpeil on beautiful girls.

"a beautiful girl is a beautiful thing. a beautiful girl can make your day. a beautiful girl is bottled up promise."

michael rapaport could do spoken word poetry and i'd still love the guy. it's weird how he was both a hick and a beat poet in this movie, not to mention somewhat of a creep, yet he's still one of the coolest guys in the 'biz.

i saw amorres perros afterschool today. gael garcia is definitely one of my favorite actors.

man, j. paul called today. i don't know about this tribes shit anymore. i might do it, just to meet and work with some new actors, but i don't know. i just want to chill this summer and live some lazy days, even if i'm going to work. but at least i'll be working for money, and not for thespian sweat. i have to boil over on this one, because i'm hesitating on commiting to anything like that right now.
